New ruler first-session plan: 1) Read the food, wood, stone and gold totals on the Kingdom screen. 2) Open Village and hover over empty interior plots to see where structures can be placed. 3) Improve the Farm, Lumberyard or Quarry that blocks your next goal. 4) Remember that the wall and main gate are permanent perimeter defenses upgraded in place. 5) Complete early quests, review Research, and train a small balanced force. 6) Use beginner protection to learn the World Map and Scouting before committing to a risky march. Keep resources below storage capacity so production continues while you are away.
