Claiming and upgrading land tiles

Land is how you expand your production ceiling. The world is a 30x30 grid of tiles, and each tile has a terrain type (plains, forest, mountain or water) that suits different uses. Claim tiles next to your kingdom to grow your territory, then upgrade a tile's land level to increase what it can produce or support. More land means more room for farms, camps and mines, which means a bigger economy and a bigger army. Do not grab tiles you cannot defend, though: every tile you own is something a rival can march on. Expand steadily, keep your borders compact early, and upgrade before you spread.
